You will operate on and care for patients on these services with approximately 19,000 surgical procedures performed at Easton Hospital each year.

Easton Hospital has been affiliated with Drexel University School of Medicine (formally Hahneman University School of Medicine) for over 60 years. Third and fourth-year medical students from Drexel University School of Medicine rotate here and work very closely with the surgical residents providing added stimulation and challenge. All PGY-3 through PGY-5 surgical residents participate in the surgical student lecture series. All residents provide guidance and serve as role models and mentors to these students.

Actual student commentary:

“Excellent teachers and role models. Provided a great professional example of what I want to follow. Consistently took time to give impromptu lectures and taught every moment. Knowledge base was diverse and impressive in the field of surgery and medicine.”

“Ceaselessly taught the students from his impressive reservoir of knowledge. He focused always on testable topics and took far more time than he had to in order to ensure that we understood all topics completely. Honest, selfless, and professional at every opportunity. I am a better student for having worked with him.”
