Lyme Disease Presentation
Easton, Pa (May 1, 2012): On May 17, Easton Hospital’s Senior Circle will host a presentation on Lyme Disease by Wesley Kozinn, MD, Infectious Disease specialist. The event will be held at 12:00 p.m. in Kroner Auditorium at Easton Hospital, 250 South 21st Street, Easton.
Dr. Kozinn’s presentation will offer insight in to the signs and symptoms of Lyme Disease as well as what steps should be taken if someone suspects that they may have the disease. According to data reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2009 Pennsylvania and New Jersey reported an increase in confirmed cases of Lyme Disease with Pennsylvania reporting 4,950 new cases and New Jersey reporting 4,598.
Dr. Kozinn is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio. He completed his Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY, and a Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.
