Easton Hospital Announces September Events

Easton Hospital offers a wide array of health care educational classes, information sessions and support groups for the benefit of the community. The September 2012 events include:

September 10, 17 and 24 -- Diabetes Self-Management Course: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Sept. 10 and 17); and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Sept 24); Location TBA, Easton Hospital; Program is led by our Certified Diabetes Educator and is AADE accredited. Call 610-250-4462

September 6 -- Senior Circle 10^th Anniversary Party: 1:00 p.m.; Green Pond Country Club, 3604 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem; Easton Hospital’s Senior Circle Program is celebrating 10 years of service. All Senior Circle members are encouraged to join in the celebration featuring a family-style lunch; entertainment and door prizes. Cost is $25/Senior Circle members; $27/non-members. September 7, 10, 14, 17, 24 and 28 - Senior Circle Mall Walkers: 9:00 a.m.; Palmer Park Mall, Easton; Meet at the mall and take an hour-long walk for your health.

September 11 - Senior Circle Trip to Danny & the Juniors: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs, Wilkes-Barre, PA; A bus trip to see the original do wop quartet, Danny & the Juniors. Trip includes: deluxe motor coach transportation; driver gratuity; show; lunch buffet; and $25 slot play. Cost is $57/Senior Circle members; $62/Guests. September 12 - Senior Circle Line Dancing: 9:30 a.m.; Forks United Church of Christ, 4500 Sullivan Trail, Stockertown; Enjoy fitness fun through country line dancing with Senior Circle.

September 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 - Senior Circle Toning Uptown: 9:30 a.m.; Kroner Auditorium, Easton Hospital; A 30-minute upper-body toning workout with Senior Circle.

September 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 - Senior Circle Toning Uptown: 10:15 a.m.; Kroner Auditorium, Easton Hospital: After toning the upper body, add a 30-minute lower-body toning workout with Senior Circle.

September 15 - Healthy Woman Trip to San Gennaro Festival: 9:00 a.m. — 6:00 p.m.; Little Italy, New York City; Take a trip to NYC's biggest, most famous and longest running religious festival with more than 200 vendors. September 26 - Senior Circle Presents: Knee & Hip Symptoms and Treatment: 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., Kroner Auditorium, Easton Hospital; Ranjan Sachdev, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon will explain the latest techniques for knee replacement, and discuss hip pain and treatment. September 29 - Dolly & Me Tea Party: A Mother & Daughter Event by Healthy Woman: 11:00 a.m.; Kroner Auditorium, Easton Hospital; Fun event for mothers, grandmothers, aunts and friends to bring their little girls and their dolly to enjoy an afternoon of tea, finger sandwiches, crafts and special favors.  Dietician, Stephanie Kassanoff, will do a kid-friendly cooking demonstration and Colleen Martin will demonstrate Jam Berry Nails. Bring cameras to have pictures taken at a huge dollhouse.
