EASTON HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES NEW CEO

EASTON, PA. (August 21, 2009) – Easton Hospital today announced the appointment of Tim Trottier as chief executive officer effective Sept. 8. Trottier replaces Aaron Hazzard, who has been serving as interim CEO.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to join the dedicated employees and medical staff at Easton Hospital,” Trottier says.  “I am eager to build on their prior accomplishments to help bring future successes, and look forward to being an integral part of the Easton community.”

Trottier brings more than 18 years of health care and management experience to Easton Hospital. Most recently, he served four years as CEO at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez, Miss. He also has held the position at hospitals in Washington and West Virginia.

“We are pleased to welcome Tim to Easton Hospital,” says Tom Muller, chairman of Easton Hospital’s board of trustees.  “We are fortunate to have a health care executive joining us with the experience and desire to work with our board, physicians and employees to build on the hospital’s positive momentum.”

Easton Hospital recently achieved accreditation as a certified chest pain center, and also boasts HealthGrades ratings for excellence in critical care, general surgery, gastrointestinal care and pulmonary care.

Trottier holds a master’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Seattle University. A former commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, Trottier and his wife have two daughters.
