Critically ill medical and surgical patients receive high quality care in Easton Hospital's Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units. The Intensive Care Unit as a whole was named as one of the "100 Top Hospital's" Intensive Care Units in an independent study released by the Solucient Leadership Institute in 2001. The study "100 Top Hospitals: ICU Benchmarks for Success" included data from 1,200 hospitals with ICUs and is one of the first comparative analysis of ICU performance among the nation's hospitals.
This Department offers diagnostic testing, education, and therapy for patients with chronic and acute respiratory problems. A fully equipped pulmonary function laboratory performs pulmonary physiologic exercise tests, altitude simulations, and indirect calorimetry for monitoring patients on supplemental nutrition.

The Renal Dialysis Center provides complete care and support for patients with End Stage Renal Disease requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. We also offer Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, for critically ill patients with kidney failure.

The Sleep Disorders Lab evaluates and treats all types of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy. The spacious sleep study rooms are furnished to resemble a home, complete with double beds, recliners, a personal bathroom and fresh wall coverings. Caregivers monitor activity from a nearby control room. Sleep studies are conducted overnight under the direction of a specially trained technician, who monitors sleep and breathing patterns, heart activity, and body movements.
