Programs offered include:
Look Good … Feel Better® – a trained cosmetologist teaches women how to care for changes in skin and hair which may occur during treatment. Sessions are held at the Cancer Support Community, Easton Hospital, and all participants receive a free make-up kit.
Wigs – offering a wide variety of wigs fitted by a licensed cosmetologist – three nearby locations: Bismillah Hair Salon, Easton; Metro Beauty Academy, Allentown; and Valley Ambulatory Surgical Center, Bethlehem.
Road to Recovery – trained volunteers drive cancer patients to and from treatment.
Reach To Recovery® – trained breast cancer survivors providing support and information.
“tlc”™ magalog – magazine and catalog of affordable products dealing with the physical effects of cancer treatment.
Cancer Survivors Network – a “virtual” community created by and for cancer survivors and their families.
Hope Lodge® – free, overnight housing for cancer patients who must travel far from home for their care.
I Can Cope® – educational program for patients and their caregivers.
Children’s Camps – Camp Can Do, Mt. Gretna, Pa., (near Hershey) is a camp for pediatric cancer patients that is specially equipped to handle their specific needs.
