Critically ill medical and surgical patients receive quality care in Easton Hospital's Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units. The Intensive Care Unit as a whole was named as one of the "100 Top Hospital's" Intensive Care Units in an independent study released by the Solucient Leadership Institute in 2001. The study "100 Top Hospitals: ICU Benchmarks for Success" included data from 1,200 hospitals with ICUs and is one of the first comparative analysis of ICU performance among the nation's hospitals.
Our ICU medical staff and physicians have extensive, specialized training and clinical experience. Although at times blinking lights and bleeping monitors can be bewildering to visitors and patients, the medical technology on ICU is designed to provide the highest quality of healing and care. Medical staff welcomes questions and the opportunity to explain to patients and visitors about our equipment and patient safeguards.

Family and friends are an important part of your healing process and are encouraged to visit. All visitors should be in good health for the protection of our patients.
If admitted to the intensive or immediate care units, only members of the immediate family are permitted to visit. We encourage patients to limit the number of visitors at one time in order to respect the privacy and care needs of a roommate.
Please do not leave children unattended in the lobby, waiting rooms or any other area of the hospital.
